An opportunity to renew membership and find out what the club has to offer in the new season. The evening will include a selection of images taken during recent Club outings to Snowdonia and Bath and the Avon Valley.

Our first presentation will be given by Clive Minnitt, a professional photographer, who will show a range of images taken in recent years.  Clive has a regular feature in Outdoor Photography and should provide a great start to the new season.

Derek Reay ARPS shows a host of eye catching pictures showing just what can be done with this simple apparatus.  The evening will also cover the camera obscura, turning whole rooms into cameras and producing gigantic pinhole prints.

We are the host club for the first round of the digital Rosebowl competition organized by the CACC. We will welcome this evening members from the Kidlington, Stoke Poges and St Albans clubs for this 4-club battle.

Tonight’s lecturer, Chris Palmer ARPS AFIAP DPAGB APAGB, discusses the pleasure and benefit obtained by building up a familiarity with a subject or location. This is a slide lecture, shot conventially, and without manipulation.

Trevor Rees travels from Worcester to show us just a few of his amazingly detailed images shot under the oceans.  The evening will include a demonstration of the equipment used to shoot images whilst diving to the depths.

Dr Peter Brandham from Kew Gardens makes a welcome return with a presentation in which he recalls a motorised plant-collecting expedition to remote regions of tropical Africa. The evening ends with a 20 minute Audio Visual sequence that reveals a different aspect of the Africa experience.

It worked well last season. 10 club members share their digital work for a maximum time of 8 minutes each. A superb evening’s entertainment covering a wide range of subjects. The final meeting of the season will end with the presentation of the trophies to the winners.
