Project 100 (1)
posted by Ian Lewis in Club Meetings
There we were on 21 February for the first of our Project 100 (aka Chairman’s Challenge) evenings. This is the one where unsuspecting members volunteer to take two images a week over the year (2017 in this case) and then whittle these down to 100 to share with the rest of the club. A great motivator to use the camera regularly all through the year. Some, I have to say, fell by the wayside (me? As if I would! Ok – I admit it – I did!). But that still left 13 stalwart members who kept going through thick and thin! And this evening the first two shared their images with us – Steve Shadbolt and Bill Scott.
And what a great evening it was! We saw lovely images of localities – Steve giving us an insight into the mysteries of Didcot for example – and around Bill’s home and garden. So there were landscapes, townscapes, holidays and families – really enjoyable. And of course it gave us an insight into these two as photographers – what they enjoy capturing and presenting.
A thoroughly good evening – enjoyed by all. Thank you Steve and Bill for sharing your year with us!
