Need Help choosing a digital camera?

The Digital group is here to help You!
The main focus of the digital group will continue to be driven by the interests and questions of members, dealing with more advanced topics of digital manipulation and running workshops. Amongst the proposed topics for the coming year include the use of “Pictures to exe” / “Proshow”; dealing with RAW files, and coping with High Dynamic Range images. These will be combined with our ever-popular workshops.
After the half time break, all members are invited to contribute to a “slide show”, where images on a monthly set topic are displayed and discussed, with a view to improving photographic skills. At the October meeting the topic was `Autumn colours', which had a good selection of contributions. We spent some time looking at the images and with a selected few we opened them in Photoshop and did some `creative' editing. This proved a very useful way of learning different techniques and plenty of members had suggestions and ideas to contribute. The topic is chosen monthly by members of the group – the December topic is “Motion”.
In addition, we will be running a course for Beginners in Digital Photography. This will start at 8.00pm (please arrive about 7.45pm to get set up), and run to the break, after which everyone can take part in the discussion of members’ images, and join the other members in their digital group discussion/workshop.
